Hi all!
Does anyone know if I can connect an 'Optimate' trickle charger to the power point in the left hand glove compartment (-and will it charge the battery?)

I don't know but it's EZ to connect a lead directly to the battery, I have a fused Battery Tender with a pig tail lead, open the seat hook it up your done.

Yes you can, I used to plug my Optimate in to the glovebox socket when I had a Silver Wing.
