| Hello to All! I live in Wiltshire and ride a 2009 ABS FJS600 which I love. I've enjoyed looking through this website and thought I would like to join all you like-minded people so here I am! Alison |

http://www.x9ownersclub.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=21280.0 Thanks for telling me about that. I'll certainly join that one. It sounds like a great day out and I look forward to it. Do I just turn up somewhere and do I need to join the other forum? |

| Pleasure. Just turn up - I'll find out exactly where nearer the time. No need to join the forum although I reside there mostly for rideouts and to stay in touch with old friends. Made some good friends here, too, but rideouts are inevitably few and far between. |

| No reason why not. I think there's a fair amount of 'mix and match' with the maxiscooter clubs, mostly because of the relatively small number of UK maxiriders who want to go on rideouts - one reason why the X9OC has opened up to every make. We do have a few ex-X9ers who come on motorcycles from time to time. I doubt there'll be more than 10 on the West Country Ride but they're all nice people, if a little mad (not when riding, though). |

| Addition to the West Country Rideout thread on X9OC which says: Meeting point - Devizes Travelodge car-park Time - 10.00 Alison, you are now 'Alison the S'winger'! |

| Bumping this thread:
The meeting-place and time next Saturday are as stated in my previous post. It'll be a leisurely ride, only just over 80 miles.
There are additional posts about it on the X9 thread - the link still works. |

| Welcome Leon Grigg. What a nice gift. It would have been better if you had gone to the introduction section and opened a new topic for yourself. Some of us old guys get confused trying to figure out to whom we are responding. Recently I was following a thread about a new member from Florida and suddenly was reading about icebergs. That being said, enjoy the ride and tell us all about your new gift ( in a new topic). |

| Hi All, I'M new to this. I ride an 08 Silverwing and love it. I'm trying to get my sister-in-law on a silver-wing, But she say's the seat height is too high (Can't put her feet flat on the ground. I would like to know if their is any way to lower the bike? Will adjusting the rear shoch springs let the bike sit lower or just make the bike ride softer.
Thank's for your time. |

| Welcome aboard
It will just ride softer, only way is shorter springs or remove foam to reduce seat depth. Any one else got any ideas? |
