introduction

My name is Gene, I am from Louisiana and new to the forum. I just purchased an 07 Silverwing. I am 60 years old , retired and really enjoying my new toy. Looking forward to sharing info with everyone on the forum. Hope everyone has a safe riding experience.

Hello neighbor!

Welcome Gene. I just got my '04 last night. It seems lots of us are seeing the wisdom of buying used. $9200 seems quite expensive for a scooter, even such a nice one as a Silverwing. But if we take off the initial losses, they become quite reasonable.

The only problem is that it doesn't encourage Honda to keep making them, if we all buy them used, hehehe.

I need to go over my scoot a bit, as I don't fully trust the seller. He flat out lied in the ad, saying there was not a scratch on it. When I went to look, an hours' drive away, there were in fact scratches on both sides of the plastic from low speed drops. So now, I question whether it had actually been serviced, as he said it was.
