| 2006 ABS 12000 miles
After fixing the stupid stator oil leak. I discovered that there's more. Anybody knows how to fix this ? As you see inside the belt case is all fine. The bikes makes a squiky noise for a couple of seconds until it takes off than it's all good. I drove about 300 miles and as soon as I stopped I smelled oil burning. Looked underneath...oil leak. Help please. Thank you

| I can't access box at work, but i can tell you I had what I thought to be a final drive leak but it turned out to be a rear engine seal leak, which required me to remove the entire belt case & rear wheel assembly to replace the rear seal.

| + 1 on what Jesse said.
Replacing the crankshaft seal is a doable job, but it is a bit time consuming.
Go back and read Jesse's archived posts on how to do it. He has a couple of significant tips regarding the job.
The seals are actually inexpensive enough so you might want to order both the crank seal as well as the final drive seal (behind the Clutch Bell) just to have them on hand. I ended up replacing both of the seals.

| Sorry to hear If it is the shaft seal, what caused it? Could it be a bearing breaking down? |

| Did you change final shaft oil lately? Hope you didn't overfill it. |

| I'd try OilStop leak in your final drive to recondition your seals before replacing the seals. |
