Hi newbie silverwing rider here.
I live in Chicago. So over last weekend, I went to Little Red Schoolhouse Nature Center for some stargazing (For stargazers, this is a highly recommend place near Chicago with minimal light pollution).
I stayed till 2am or so, and on my way back, I decided to take Archer Ave (Highway 171), the more twisting interested route instead of Freeway 55. After I passed intersection with 294, out of the corner of my eye, I saw a woman in white hitch-hiking. I engaged the brake a little bit, slowed down, but decided against stopping and just accelerated past her. I looked back in my side mirror and she was gone.
And then, just then, I went passed 2 cemeteries. My heart was absolutely pounding and I was so scared that I rode and rode and rode and got back onto Freeway 55 as quickly as possible.
I went home, did some research, and realized that I passed the infamous "Resurrection Cemetery", and it was actually a famous urban legend about the vanishing woman hitch-hiking ghost.
No more night riding for me for a while, I can tell you that.
