DocJones' new Silverwing

After looking over many Swings in North Florida and South Georgia on Saturday (12/30) I picked up a Black 2013. 13 is my lucky number. Pretty great shape and very low miles (3760). Nice Givi (47) top box and CB radio. I removed CB yesterday and I think she's a keeper. I really didn't want black but what is the old Rolling Stone song? Anyway I'm sure she will give me many, many years of great service. Looking forward to hanging out with you guys and gals.      Tom  (aka docjones)

Very cool Tom! I bought a new Black 2013 Silver Wing about three years ago and have enjoyed every ride it has given me.

New Year's Day - Just got back from a lengthy ride through Los Angeles via Sunset Blvd., the 10 Fwy and onto Pacific Coast Highway up along the oceanside. I rode PCH through Malibu to Kanan Canyon Road. That canyon took me back to the 101 Fwy. which I rode south to get home.

All that to say that you will definitely enjoy your new Swing and it will provide you with many years of pleasure! Guaranteed!!

Hi Tom,
Sounds like a very nice SWing. I have an 08 which I like very much. It's in the process of being converted into a trike using the Motor Trike kit and the work is being done at the Bike Barn in Sauk Rapids, MN. I talked to them last week and they said it would be delivered this week. Can't wait to get it and at least look at it until the weather warms up.

My 2005 was black and it looked really good when it was cleaned up and shined. Sadly it was totalled. My 07 is grey. Nothing against the color but it is not black; same ride though, so no big loss that I can't live with.
This is a great place to hang out when you are off the SWing.

Thanks guys, looking forward to being here. Steve, your ride on PCH makes me more than a little envious. I've driven in a car up and down PCH from LA to SF many, many times. Would love to on the Swing. Our dream (my wife's and mine) is to maybe ship our Swings to Washington State and then ride PCH all the way down to LA and then across the country on I-10. I don't think we have the where with all or butts to ride to Washington and then home. Just a dream and with any luck? Thanks again. Tom
