| Joined a few months back and thought I had posted an intro but guess I forgot. Bought a 2004 Swing with 16K on it and have put givi windshield and mirror extenders. Now going through and doing maintenance new belt tires plugs fluids etc. For good measure got a HIT Clutch and some 24g sliders. Anyway already found lots of good info here. Thanks Eric This is the before pic |

| Thanks Dale!
Briorick I wanted a silver one but this color has really grown on me. Very happy. The trike look is very cool. Now to find variator tool plans so I can install sliders. |

| Sorry about the chopped off text below, but here are plans for the variator tool. You can buy a 3' piece of 1/4" flat stock at Home Depot or Lowes, etc. And you don't need those M6 bolts & nuts either. You can stick with 1/4-20 hardware if that works for you. Tim [Edit] For some reason the photo of the DIY variator tool failed to stay with my post. Here is a YouTube link to that same Bruce Kohler variator tool. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=YIVAimvORFI

| Thanks I just finished making a tool out of some scrap wood. Let's see how it works. |

| I made the tool in the video but now that it's a trike I'll probably have to make another one to fit. |

| OK so replaced the belt changed final drive fluid added in some 24g dr pulley sliders and a hit clutch and just took it for first spin. I must say it is an impressive update/upgrade! Acceleration must crisper and clutch engages smoothly early on. Had a smile the entire ride. Also had an annoying screech noise when turning left at slow speeds that is now gone. All in all very happy. BTW if anyone interested I got the hit clutch for 369 at buggy parts northwest. It seemed the cheapest place for that more expensive part. Would actually buy it again. Anyway now to change tires and finish up the fluid flush/refill. Happy motoring all! :Happy Holiday: |
