| Considering purchasing of the EMGO 72-32440 travel trunks. For the money, it can't be beat. Before I purchase one, I would like to know if anyone has installed one on a Swing yet. Mine is a 2004. Also looking at a GIVI B29N trunk which uses the same type of universal mounting kit. Any suggestions or tips in mounting these to a stock '04 luggage rack (without buying the overpriced $80 GIVI mount bracket) would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! |

| It is very easy if you are handy with tools. |

| The Givi B29N top box like a lot of their smaller boxes is designed for the Givi Monolock plate, not the Monokey. It's also similar in size to the Givi CY25 bicycle top box I have fitted on the rear rack of my Workcycles push bike.
The Givi Universal Mounting Kit is for owners to bodge up some way of fitting a Givi box to a rear rack with tubular rails. Which in a similar way to how my Givi box is attached to my Dutch push bike, it has a plate that fits into the base of the top box covering the protruding heads of the mounting bolts. |

| I installed one on my scoot in 2012 and it has worked great. Same box was on my Kawaskai KLR before that. As to install it will require drilling a couple of holes in the (aluminum?) tail plate. Some boxes use the preset holes but the Emgo did not line up exact. If memory serves I used a couple of the preset holes and drilled 2 new ones to install the mounting plate. Very soft metal so not a huge job. Just measure and remove the plate, drill it and install the trunk mounting plate and reattach. AGAIN, this is from memory and at my age... LOL Sorry I don't have my scoot in front of me to look at. |

| Thanks Mildrew: I re-checked the mounting plate It is a MONOKEY. It was on the S/wing when I got it. Used the old plate and box on the one I now ride. Again anybody needs one I've got one. PM to begin. |
