On the lookout for my first SW. I really enjoy reading posts in dedicated forums - it helps me to gain a sense of what ownership will be like. So far, I really like what I'm reading!

I'm hoping to get my hands on one before summer, and for 2 reasons. I currently own a Yamaha Smax, a trade up from a Yamaha BWS (or Zuma for some) I owned previously.

I live close to work, and it's nice to a have twist and go set up with city commuting in mind. So, the bigger SW will be fully highway operable, something the Smax is capable of, but not something I really want to do.

And secondly, the opportunity to ride two up. I've done so on a previously owned ride, the BMW F800 GS (which I loved), but only for short distances. I think the SW will provide more than adequate opportunities for riding with the wife. There are plenty of great rides just out of Vancouver, BC.

When I finally get my hands on one, I'll post the details.

Thank you for the adding me to the forum!

Welcome from Sunny and Warm Minnesota. Well, Welcome at least. This is a great site for info on how to work on your SWing and keep it running. I have an 08 SWing that I like a lot. It's great on the highway and around town.

Hello from Santa Barbara California and welcome.

You may want to look at upgrading to a GIVI 214 windshield. BUT. be aware that the adjustable top part may fly off and hit you in the face shield. confused

I have had 4 different windshields over the years and this one was my favorite. You can read more about all the different options here on this most useful forum.
