| My wife and I are back to riding again.....YEAH..... The weather in the Asheville area since the beginning of February has been decent at least once a week, so, we put the battery back in, put more air in the tires and off we went, putting on about 200 miles each trip. I pray the weather only gets better from here on out, but, I also remember the snow storm of 18 inches we received a few years back in March ! If we can keep riding until April, we will be ready tp take our trike trip to Georgetown KY. to see the replica of Noah's Ark. We are very much looking forward to that trip, preferably on the trike ! |

| Hi Pastor Ron, You said you put more air in your tires. But is the old winter air still in them or did you drain it all out and just have spring/summer air in them? Sorry, I couldn't help it. It will be a while up here before I can even think of riding again. |

| I'm dreaming of riding again too.
Fortunately winter isn't as hard here as the rest of country.

| I'm in a short period when the top soil in my back yard has melted, but the "permafrost" beneath has not yet allowed the top mud to drain down, so getting my SWing out of the shed to drive the 60 feet up a slight incline to the road will dig up my yard. (fun, but makes spring lawn patching not worth it). Waiting a few days for this brief phenomenon to go. Then the SWing will swing into action.
Some new bikes now come with traction control (Honda 750 DCT), which could help to avoid some SWing divots. |

| I've got traction control or Honda Selectable Torque Control on my new style Forza 300, the first scooter Honda has installed it on. |

| Great to hear some are able to get riding again! Even in Arizona we have had cold weather and much more rain than usual so my jaunts have been few. However I am taking a short ride with a friend tomorrow as temps are supposed to be mid 70's! Yahoo!!!
Better wash it and put in the "spring-summer" air in my tires today... |

| My earliest ride was March 12, a few years back. Won't be that early this year. Way too cold :-20C with the windchill this morning. Froze my head just getting the newspaper from the mailbox ! It is going to stay like this till mid-March. Brrrrr.

| The times we have to wait, makes it that much more enjoyable when we can resume our journeys. |

| Today was almost nice enough this afternoon to get out on the scoot for a spin around town. However I had to check to see if the van would start after the polar votex killed it. I had to go take the amish shopping at 2 and closed the window for the scoot. Battery was deader than a door nail too. Polar vortex forecast again this weekend.

Tim Actually I never park in handicap spots BUT it was the only dry spot available and there is little traffic at this city park at this time of year so we took a chance. Parking in the snow was not an option as my 4WD is not working... |
