| The belt case air filter  that's the end of that but after 14+ years I guess I shouldn't be to surprised. It looked a bit dirty when I took it out so I decided to flush it with some warm soapy water, no sooner had the water hit it than what appeared to be an ok filter just started to fall apart. Age / heat finally took it's toll. If you read this and have and older S'Wing take heed and have a replacement handy if you intend to replace it and use the bike soon. This wasn't a big surprise as I've seen Gold Wing foam filters do the same thing. |

| I went to the Auto Parts store and bought generic lawnmower air filter material. Cut to fit. Solved. Didn't want to chase that down through Honda.

| I always washed mine in white spirit. Once to get all the dirt out then again until spirit is more or less clear. |
