| Weather permitting, I always try to ride on Christmas Day and New Years Day. Christmas Day didn't work out but I was able to ride today. The weather was sunny and around 48 degrees Fahrenheit this afternoon here in the foothills of NC so I rode for about an hour. It was nice.
I hope all of you have a safe and happy 2010. |

| RobinC, Good going !!! Hope you a good time and can continue to ride through the winter. I was stationed at Camp Lejeune back in the late 70's and recall the NC winters as not too bad. I feel sorry for those in the cold parts of the country. Post a few pics sometime of what you see when you ride. We would all enjoy seeing a couple. |

| All I got to do was turn on my scooter and move it to a cleared parking space. I'm very envious of anyone with less than 26" of snow and temperatures higher than 29 degrees.
Happy new year, all. |

| RobinC, Good for you. Pat & I also rode out to breakfast with our good friends Emmett and Joann (They were on a 650 Burgman) on new years morning. It was in the 30's and we didn't go far (18 miles) but is a tradition I have been doing for some time now. Dick |

| Well, I'm glad that some of you have been able to ride recently. I got a set of heated grips for Christmas, but the road in front of my house is covered with ice and snow, so I need to wait until it clears to be able to ride to the dealer to have them installed.
Yeah, I know, it isn't a difficult job, but I have gotten to be pretty much of a wousie when it comes to sitting on the cold concrete floor of my unheated garage to complete a task like that. I could get it done, but after doing it I would be laid up for a couple of days because of my back. It is worth it to me to pay someone else to do it and then I can just enjoy the ride. Hope you all had a great new year. I sure am looking to my first ride of the new decade... |

| I managed a couple rides on my Silverwing and even the Goldwing in the past couple weeks. I do appreciate the SW's EFI, the Goldie needs a lot of warm up in the cold. I also got a test ride in on my newly motorized bicycle. I bought a 49cc bike motor kit for my old mountain bike. It's a kick, I haven't ridden it over about 20mph yet to give it a chance to break in. Lots of fun on the thing though. |

| Here in north Florida we've been having a polar winter so far. My coldest ride was 15.4 degrees earlier this week. Brrrrrrr. I guess I should be thankful that regardless of the temp, we don't have ice on the roads or snow. Except for this morning, we had snow flurries, lol. Joe |

| This winter weather is NASTY!!!! We have had more snow this winter than I have seen since we moved here in 2001. Yesterday the temp never broke 20 degrees, Brrr. Way too cold! Some sunshine and above freezing temps would be welcome. Wes |

| I'm telling ya. Beginning last Sunday morning I dumped the ice out of the dog bowl we keep outside. I have exactly 6 of them, from last Sunday, which still have not melted completely. This is Florida, I thought. It snowed all the way to Orlando this morning. They had to shut some bridges down they actually had ice on them. Something we just aren't used to here. And the iced bridges were south of me, by about 80 miles or even 100 miles. Amazing. Wonder what Al Gore is doing? Joe |

| Ever notice that when it's hot the media all talk about how global warming is affecting us but when it's cold they all say that it's merely normal variation in weather? Heck with it, I think I'll go shake up some Pepsi and let the CO2 out. |

| LOL. Well, I have to admit I'm a fan of un-pasteurized beer, and so I release CO2 everytime I pour a draft from the kegerator... It's 21 degrees outside, columbia county, Florida. Well while all of you sit toasty tomorrow I'll be out first thimg in the AM riding the Swinger. Toast one for me! |

| Well, this past Saturday I was able to ride my scoot over to the dealer to have them install my new heated grips. I am also going to have them clean my air filter and drill out the air box to try to get more air into the engine. They said it would be ready on Tuesday (today) but unfortunately, I am traveling this week, so I hope to pick it up on Saturday. I'm looking forward to testing out the new equipment/mods. Hope you all are doing well. Take care. D |
