I've been lurking here for a week or so and just purchased a '03 Swing. Got it for what I think is a decent price with 26k on the odo. Waiting for a service manual off E-Bay and have been ordering parts and farkles like crazy. I also own an '11 Burgman 400 I bought last year that I really like but wanted something with a little more go. Considered a Burgman 650 but the trans issues turned me off. Prior bikes were a '05 Goldwing and prior to that an '86 Goldwing. Have started tearing into the new Swing and so far on order are new tires, clutch pads, rollers, brake pads, belt, and Ram mounts. I'm sure there will be more, but a good start Oh, and just received today Grip Puppys and Go Cruise throttle aid. Anyway, howdy from sunny Oregon (it was today).

Welcome Hondacurt to the best SWing forum on the net. I use a Ram Mount between the handlebars to hold my MP3 player. I had to use a longer bolt with a few washers under the head to be able to tighten it without breaking the plastic cover. But it works great.
I have an 08 SWing that I had to do a lot of TLC when I got it. It had been sitting under a tarp in FL when I bought it from my sister. Now it runs great and I'm getting anxious for it to warm up here.

I've got a hole in the center of the plastic cover from PO that I'm going to put a ram ball for my phone and two ram balls on the reservoirs for my Garmin Zumo and cup holder. I think it should work.

Welcome to the fold ! I'd say you are hardly a newbie to motorcycles. We could all benefit from your wisdom too.

Jay.
