| Hi All, Name is Dick Orton and my 2005, black, ABS, Swing (2300 miles) was purchased last May from a dealer in Wisconsonsin and I had it shipped to my country home (not that I have a city home) just southwest of Topeka, Kansas. I'm not an experienced rider so have been sticking to the back highways to get use to it all. Hence, not a lot of miles racked up yet. Right now the scoot (haven't given it a name like some have ) is setting in my "cold" garage trying to get its battery charged. Yeah we got hit with the subzero stuff too. And, to end, I am a retired military guy (1982) and also retired from Lockheed Martin (1999) in Colorado Springs, CO. Thanks to Jeff for getting this site together. Has anyone noted the SilverWing.org site down because of server "over-use"??? DickO 2005 Black ABS Stock Harveyville, Kansas |

| DickO,
Welcome to the site and feel free to post some pics of your bike in the Album's section. I think you will really enjoy this SWing since it is very comfortable and smooth. I noticed the silverwing.org site down too and hope it comes back soon. It is a good site. Hope you like this site and post any time. I know what it is like to ride in the cold since I used to live in Illinois. I'm in California now so it is much nicer to ride in the winter.
Ride safe,
JeffR |

| DickO, Vito, Alright - a multi-welcome. Dick, I'm not sure how I missed your original post, but welcome and continue to participate. Vito, Welcome to the site and come on warmth. Yes, it gets a bit chilly here in NORTH Alabama. |

| Welcome Dick. Hard to wait for spring to come! You might think about taking the advanced riding classes. I had been riding for years but it really fine-tuned some things I was doing and was very worthwhile. Best to you.... |
