| Hi everyone, my right rear shock on my new to me Wing has started leaking so time for replacements,I've read a few reviews of the Hagon but can't much on the YSS shocks, I have just shelled out for 2 new tyres and a Givi screen so high end ones are off the market Any thoughts appreciated Btw loving the scoot done about 500 miles on it so far, takes a bit of adjustment after riding my commuter Burgman 400 all week sitting on it rather than in it .... fuel consuption aside Haha |

Jay. Can't agree with that. The Hagon units are rebuildable for one thing, and they will spring it to suit the weight of the rider. I had a YSS on my old Honda Deauville. It stopped the bike weaving at anything over 60mph. The main point being that ANY shock will be far far better than the penny market things that Honda fit as standard that are mass produced and of very poor build quality and designed to last until the warranty runs out. In fact even at 16,000 miles they are usually shot with little or no damping. They have been built to adapt to anything from a 98lb rider with no luggage to a 280 lb rider riding using a givi box loaded with lead shot... Well, not quite... So they are compromised from the off. Hagon have been around for years, since 1971 in fact. They are happy to talk on the "phone too. I'd argue their kit must be of a quality else they wouldn't still be building them. Look them up. |

| The downside of YSS is that the adjusting collars are at the top of the unit & because of that are obscured by bodywork |

| In fact I'll put a pair on at that price... I had a Hagon on my 1998 VFR 800. Knocked the original Honda one into the weeds for performance. |

| That's a good deal. I put on YSS shocks recently for about the same price, what a difference. My SW still had the originals on after 18 years! Re-setting between solo and pillion is a bit fiddly but much more precise that the originals. See the article below if you need some views on fitting them. You'll see that the article takes the long road but means you can prepare for any future change. https://www.silverwing600.com/t10055-front-and-rear-grief-ouch-yss-shocks?highlight=yss+shocks |

It's because bikes are built by accountants and designers, not engineers. The Engineers do the important work, then the stylists cover it all up to make it look "nice". And then the bean counters tell them they can't have that... |
