Hello gang. Freddy from San Francisco here. Would love to know of a cell phone holder solution for my 03 Silverwing. Any thoughts on something that would clamp on to the small dash above the instrument panel.
Don't want to have to remove anything. Looking for an easy, inexpensive fix.
Thanks everyone. Enjoy your Sunday evening.
Regards, freddyblue

Ram mounts, google them, if you must.

However, I'm a strong proponent of keeping your cell phone on your person.  If you get separated from your bike you might be able to call help.

Visiting in a ICU waiting … struck up conversation with a lady … she was there visiting her brother.  He had went off the road and lay in field for six hours before he was found.  He survived fortunately.

And then there were these two guys who crashed off the Dragon … one was killed, the other lay there all night before being discovered the next day.  He recorded a final message/last wishes to his family on his cell phone in case he didn't make it. Thankfully he did.

And the little old people in my churches are always falling … on more than one occasion they lay there all day because they can't get to their phone and their cell is out of reach.

Our cell phone a wonderful security blanket.  I keep mine in my breast pocket at all times when riding.

If I use GPS, I just run it thru my bluetooth.

Something to think about.

freddyblue.....I posted an enquiry on the exact same subject:

https://www.silverwing600.com/t11120-fantastic-ram-phone-mount?highlight=mobile+phone+holder

Scroll down to the username Loosebearing and follow from there.

I am hoping to mount my phone in the same place. I've been checking the t'interweb but so far haven't found anything. I found one or two which 'might' do the job but the rake of the screen doesn't leave much height in that area.

I gonna keep looking though. Please post your solution should you find one. I'll do the same.

It's a good point about keeping your phone on your person so I wondered about a tether which would bring your phone with you if become separated from your bike?

Regards

RAM Spring-Loaded holder is absolutely fantastic. It is a dream product.

Attaches to the brake reservoir holder, not the instrument panel. But it provides a rock solid grip on the phone and is super convenient to use. You can insert or remove your phone with one hand in three seconds.

Slip the phone under the top hooks and push up. That extends the spring. Lift the phone over the bottom two hooks and the phone is in the cradle. Let go and the spring retracts and locks the phone in place.

You will need a holder that screws into the brake reservoir holder. This has a one-inch ball on it.  Also a double socket arm. Here are the links. Takes less than ten minutes to install.

Double-Socket Arm ... (this is a long arm. You can also buy a short arm, which I use)
