| Hi all So I got this 2007 with very low miles that has been sitting for a long time. It runs well, but I'm thinking I need to give it a good going through. Change fluids? Which ones? Anything else I should look for (dry rot on tires, etc)
Thanks for your help PS I don't think it ever got proper service but I guess the Honda dealer will know by the VIN? |

| I would change the engine and rear end oil. Flush the anti freeze and brake fluid. Replace both tires. I would replace the drive belt just for my own sanity. While in there, install 26g Dr Pulley sliders. The battery should also be replaced. For better wind control replace the windshield with GIVI AF214. If you plan to do some distance traveling, I would install a GIVI top box for storage. Some members feel that the under seat bulb should be removed and replaced with a flashlight. Me, I replaced the fixture with one from a Civic trunk light. It has a manual switch to turn on/off the light.
Report back your changes to this forum! Welcome to this great forum. Good luck and safe riding. |

| I agree with the above, change engine oil and filter and final drive oil at the same time. Very easy job and same type oil can be used for both. Unless the tank was drained I would run some Sea Foam through the gas or drain ALL old fuel out and start fresh. As to accessories that is up to you and your preferences, as you ride it needs will become obvious! Good luck. |

Any concerns about wild critters if you're stopped in the dark in central Arizona?
Two years ago I bought a 2003 Silver Wing with a black Corbin seat on the west coast of Florida. I live on the Atlantic side and had a return ride of about 180 miles. I planned my trip to be home by early evening, because not only is it dark in central Florida, there's nothing there. No towns, no houses, no intersections with convenience stores. Just everglades.
Unfortunately, my return was delayed three hours by a Florida thunderstorm, the kind you wait out, unless you like getting as wet as if you'd jumped fully clothed into a swimming pool (in about thirty seconds flat). I ended up riding through swampland late at night thinking if the bike breaks down, there's no cell coverage, few if any cars coming along that might help, just desolate land home to snakes, gators, panthers, black bears. I thanked the Japanese engineers who designed the Wing to be so reliable many times that night.
I drove through the desert from Scottsdale to Tucson to the Kitt Observatory one night. Most of that stretch of desert seemed equally devoid of human life. It pays to have a reliable bike. |

| Bought 2 2007s with about the same mileage last year, did everything on Easyrider's list other than the Civic trunk light (although that is coming once I have time to hit a pick and pull). |
