| Bum checks burned to a crisp
Now I have been riding only about three years and have made several long trips on my Swing.
I know I can't have been the only one to come up with an idea of shading your seat when you go into a restaurant or get off the scooter for 10 minutes or more in the summer and you can't find shade. I just do not have the ingenuity to figure out how to make it.
There should be a way to attach something to the seat back that you could deploy upon stopping, to shade the seat and retract when you are ready to go.
I searched the forum, but could not find anything, but I suffer from the "old man disease" of looking right at something and not seeing it.
Please help and old dude's buns.
Thanks, den |

| Most Piaggio scooters come with a built in rain cover that also doubles as a sun shield. The best I've found is a Cool Ass cover. Current version last a good amount of time. |

| Just put your helmet or gloves covering the place you are going to sit, seat will remain cool enough to sit on when you go. |

| I have a sheepskin seat pad. Even though it’s black, it’s cool in the summer and warm, err... not cold, in the winter.
Tim
PS: IKEA has sheepskins for a relatively inexpensive price. Albeit they are longhair sheepskin and you’ll need to figure out your own method of securing the pad. |

| Why not simply park up in a place where you've spotted some shade, and walk a bit further to where you want to eat. Use one of those cheapo folding silver heat reflecting windshield covers cut down to seat size,or knock up something similar with some kitchen tinfoil glued to a piece of cardboard. |

| Thanks for the great suggestions. I am looking into getting one of those school Ass covers (would never have thought to search using that name). But the helmet suggestion is great. |
