Hello to all from Madrid,

I just bought a 2008 Silver Wing 600 with 27.000 miles and are getting used to it
I also own since 1987 a '83 BMW R-100 in fantastic shape and there is a difference; I find each has its pros and cons
I read in this forum the good things about the SW's and decided to give it a try

Thank you for admitting me as a member

Regards

Eduardo

thumbs up Welcome from Oregon, USA. I hope you find your SW to be about the handiest scooter around, one that's at home in town or on the highway.

Welcome Eduardo, you'll find everything you need here. Enjoy the ride, the Silverwing can be great fun when you get used to it.

BTW, we lived in Andalucia for four years but sadly we did not have a bike during that time; I wish we had. We made some good Spanish friends while we were there and miss the lifestyle, and the food, oh...the food!

Bienvenido tambièn

efinglada,
Airhead yes.  35 years and 8 airheads later I am finally without an Airhead.  My wife thought it was an appropriate nickname so Airhead stuck with me. Better than Scooter.

Welcome Eduardo to the BEST SWing forum on the net.
I also have an 08 SWing that I triked out last year and have no regrets in doing so. She still handles nicely and rides great.

Airheads, long they live!
I had also two oilheads, a R 850 and a R 1200 Gs, but I keep the R100-7 ; to me the airheads are tougher and more rewarding than oilheads
They will survive all of us!
