| My wife and I live in Flint Texas, moved here from Artesia Calif in 1970. Been riding since 1960 and have owned quite a few bikes started out on a Honda Dream 150, went to 305 Honda Superhawk and bought a Harley 45 Chopper 1947 with suicide clutch . It was a basket case but I put it together and had a blast repairing it all the time. Lol. I have owned two touring full dressers and two V-max hot rods, along with a Honda VTX1800, and a couple of Yamaha XS bikes. To tell the truth I am enjoying my 2006 S W FCS600 more than all of the other bikes combined. I bought it from a customer with 77,000 miles on the odometer and it still rides and runs like brand new. Wouldn’t be afraid to go anywhere on it. |

| Welcome, Rick. 77,000 and still runs like new. Good to hear! Best wishes for many more miles. This keeps us SWing riders confident in this bike's future. And maybe a little guilty if we sell our SWings before reaching that milepost. |

| Thank you for the welcome comments. I’m an old motor head have worked on quite a few bike engines before the FI systems came on the scene and it’s more complicated. Carburetor systems always worked for me but cold starting and elevation problems are no more until a sensor starts acting up and woe is me 🥴. Here is a picture of me and my 47 Harley Chooper. |

| Welcome Rick, my 2006 (blue) has just over 7,200 miles on it. It always make me feel good to see high mile Wings still getting on down the road. Enjoy! |

| Wow, that averages to 514 miles per year. Did you purchase it new in 2006? Everyone on this forum seem to enjoy their Swings. A lot of us seem to also enjoy tinkering with our rides. Enjoy an learn from this forum. Someday you will be a contributor also. Ride safely.

| Rick, I bought the 2006 last fall with 6,700 miles on it from the original owner for $2,500. He lived in the Colorado mountain town of Vail so it had a lot of garage time during the snow season. I had to do the complete list of catch-up maintenance on it and it will need tires after this season, but I'm pleased. This is my second Swing. Happy Trails. Bob |

| Hi Rick, welcome to the best Silverwing site on the web. Sounds like you bike experience is a bit similar to mine. First one was a Cushman scooter back in '56. Moved on with a 1949 Triumph Thunderbird in several boxes. Lots more since then too.
Getting old with arthritis makes the scooter a Godsend, not having a clutch sure helps. Mine's my third an '08 with 15,000 miles. These machines will last forever just like an ax. Keep replacing the head and handle and an ax will last forever too. |
