| So I bought my scooter really cheap, and mechanically its great.. there are a few things I want to replace to put it in perfect condition. The last thing, the headlight housing is cracked.. I found this on ebay, anybody have experience with it? The OEM is $400 which is very expensive.. I would buy a used one if I could find one in good shape.. https://www.ebay.com/itm/PRO-fit-honda-FJS400-SilverWing-2006-2007-headlight-headlamp-housing-assembly-/174292447152 |

| Never heard of “PRO fit” or FDB brand, but that sure looks exactly like a Honda headlight for a Silverwing. I can’t imagine why some manufacturer would produce such a niche market piece either. But at that price with free shipping I say go for it.
I’d sure have my front cover off ready to install that new headlight when it arrived. That way I could return the item if it weren’t right. My 2¢

That's a heckuva good price if it will work for you. The return fee is USD$50 so sending it back doesn't make a whole lotta dollars and sense. (sorry, couldn't resist) If it were me, I'd be looking at what it would cost to get one in from Europe. The European OEM units have an extra pair of light sockets in the upper corners of their standard headlight housing. We, in North America, did not get those housings. However, you would also need to upgrade your wiring harness as well in order to use those extra bulb sockets. The two pieces combined may be too spendy to be practical. Maybe used ... not new price for sure. |
