Hello,
I'm Kelly from Fort Worth, TX. My goodness, riding my scooter is MUCH EASIER than getting on a forum to post an introduction! So I purchased a 2010 Silverwing a couple weeks after retiring 2 1/2 yrs ago. I previously owned an Aprilia Atlantic 500 and was dumb enough to sell it (I realized as I watched it drive away)--so I KNOW I'm a scooter-lover! When I first bought my Silverwing I didn't ride it very much, but after seeing so many gorgeous scooters in Italy last year, I decided to come home and fall back in love with my girl!

Not long ago I discovered the spring for my seat was missing, I'm picking it up after sending this message. I'd read a while ago where another member had that problem, and replaced his spring. Unfortunately I have to have mine installed, however I would really like to maintain my bike as much as I can myself, changing oil, etc. (whatever etc could be).

I'll be looking here for all sorts of maintenance info and tips, and just Silverwing community chat as I plan to make her my primary form of transportation. The SINGLE best thing about living in Texas is the ability to ride most, if not ALL year (by scooter or bicycle:).

Nice to be here, nice to meet you.

Hello Kelly. Welcome to the forum.

There are some maintenance pictorials here. Check the Forum page for JeffR’s maintenance pictorials. While our Search function is not the easiest to negotiate it is still the best to find answers.

Of course you can also post questions and someone is sure to post with a helpful reply.

You can’t go wrong with having a Factory Service Manual on hand for DIY service.

Welcome from o-HI-o Kelly you found a great place to land. Doing your own maintenance will be greatly enhanced by that manual and the correct tools just be careful of the crankcase drain plug use the correct 6 point socket.
