| Do I need to disconnect and remove fuel tank in order to get fuel pump assembly out? I’m worried if there is little clearance to get tank out once drop to floor.
Do you know a YouTube video link that we can watch?
Thanks |

| There's a channel by a guy called Stefano Bonacasa, he's Italian but for endless Silver Wing maintenance videos, this would be a good shot. |

| Quite a few fuel tank removal discussions here on the forum. Use the Search or Advance Search function to find them
One good trick which someone mentioned recently is to use a block near the fuel fill to raise up the body to access that upper tank nut. It saves the aggro of removing the entire front body work. IIRC he used a duct tape roll. |

| I did the search with “gas tank removal” etc but no topic were found. Just fuel pump. Gas leak etc. no instruction on removal of gas tank. I have service manual but it doesn’t say how to remove gas tank once drop from body. |

I do not think I follow what you are saying. "block ner the fuel fill to raise up the body" How? What block? |

I do not think I follow what you are saying. "block ner the fuel fill to raise up the body" How? What block? It was a comment made wherein someone jammed a duct tape roll under the upper panel at the fuel fill to raise that panel enough to allow removing that 12mm (?) nut which holds the top tank mount. Presumably then you can lift the tank up off that fixed bolt stud then drop the tank down out of the scoot. The alternative is to remove the entire front end and dash body work to expose that tank nut. Of course you'll still need to remove the side skirts, tunnel cover, and probably the seat. |
