HI all. Does anyone know if a seat off a 2004 silverwing fit a 2011 silverwing.

I want to get another seat so I can get it altered and recovered in non slip fabric.

Thanks. Fireman.

Hello mate, the seats should be identical, but if it's just your butt sliding about you’re concerned about, there is a a far less expensive option.

Buy a sheet of black non-slip grip mat from eBay or a DIY shop and cut it to the shape of the top of your seat. It’s easy to cut to shape with scissors, and a few strips of double sided adhesive tape will keep it in place. Alternatively you could use Velcro patches.

I covered the strap of one of those Healthy Back Bags with a long strip just a couple of days ago. I've also used it to back soft panniers to protect Burgman and Silver paintwork. I've also lined the front cargo crate and Givi top box on my Dutch push bike with it to stop stuff moving about.

I have a piece/roll of Oxford Products mat.

Last time I bought some I got it from Amazon:

Hello guys, thanks for your input i really appreciate it. I was asking about the seat because I want to put it into an upholsterers to get the rider seat lowered. The seat I have is excellent, but i want an 1" taking off, and recovered in non slip fabric. i just like my both my feet flat on the ground. I know where there is a great company in Macclesfield ( he has done a seat for me before ). Who is excellent. Being a short house i need that little bit extra.

Many thanks to all who reply. Take care out there guys and girls.

Try contacting our member Siataukreg (aka Ronald Davies Cox on FB). He is a Breaker and is located in Saddleworth, UK. Excellent chances he has what you are looking for on hand.
