Hello All, just picked up a Swing last weekend, 2004 with 3700 on the clock, going through it now to make sure everything is fresh. Tires were original, owner was still taking rides on it(!!). 17 years isn't so good for tires. Smile

Hoping to learn more, it's quite a different scoot than our little Zuma 125's that we have for zipping around the neighborhood. I've been riding my whole life so it's just another flavor to try out.

Welcome John G. The SW flavour is sweet, personally mine is around the Vanilla area, but that's just my weird taste.

Like all machinery the SW has a few peculiarities which can usually be explained right here.

Enjoy thumbs up

Hello John G and welcome to the BEST SWing forum on the net.
Yes, 17 years would be a bit too long for tires, UNLESS he filled them with silicone seal then they would never go flat. Probably wouldn't ride very nice but what the heck...

Hi and welcome from another member in Florida, I have really enjoyed the SW almost as much as topics/info about it here, I do all my own maintenance and being a mechanic by trade is kinda my retirement hobby, I have really enjoyed servicing my SW and cost of replacement parts are fairly reasonable(if you know where to look, not the dealer !!), IMO/IME at minimun your 2004, needs all fluids replaced, new tires, new belt and possibly a air filter ?, based on age. if you need info get it here(search), feel free to PM me with any questions or info., I also work on bikes, but may be a little far ??? IAC my SW has been trouble free and very capable road scooter.

We traded coasts. We are new to Southwest Florida, Fort Myers/Cape Coral area. Born and raised in Northern California but as avid boaters, Florida is where it’s at and we’re about to retire so it was time to head to warmer weather.

Welcome John G. I really hope you enjoy your Swing as much as I have. Bought mine unridden but it was really cheap! Thought if I don't like it (I've always had conventional bikes) I'll flog it on. But I love it!!!
Enjoy our friend.

Welcome John G.
Love my 2013 SWing, nice ride but would like to have a more comfortable seat with a back rest. None the less I’m enjoying it and hope to ride this spring! Love the people and information available on this forum, welcome aboard!

Convert the butt rest to a back rest, I did and really like it.
