| Probably an odd question here, but I need to ask it.
I live with my folks in Oregon, store my two bikes in their garage, and I got to wondering, man, if something happens to me and I die, can they just sell the bikes. How does this work?
I have no other assets (no home, estate or what have you) besides the bikes, so there's no additional complications there.
I'm also wondering how I could set it up for the bikes to be donated to the local gospel mission.
If you've been down this road, pass on some information to me, please.
Thanks. |

| You might want to ask the gospel mission about that. I’m sure they have the knowledge and/or the resources to deal with your intentions. |

| I have no idea how the 'will' system works in the States but in the UK one can specify by name in a will to whom one's assets are left.

| Well, I checked with the Mission, and yes, I have to have a will. I can do that myself; it's very simple and free, even, for what I need. So good to go! Thanks, all. |

| Everyone should make a will, it makes things so much less stressful for those that remain. |

It works the same way, without one or a trust all has to go through probate, THAT could take a very long time and MIGHT use up a great deal of any value in one's estate. Although I'm told you can make a will by oneself it's better to have it witnessed. |

| You might want to check this out but I read that you can make out your own will but it's got to be signed by two disinterested parties. That means two people who are not in the will and have no interest in who gets what. I made out my will like that and had my two neighbors witness/sign it.
