| Not sure if this will get me into trouble with actual motorcycle clubs. What do you guys think? |

| Probably. If you go to the Southern Cruisers Riding Club (linky below) and browse around a bit, there is a piece on what the difference is between a motorcycle club and a riding club and somewhere it talks about what the various patches and their positions mean.
With a top and bottom rocker, you are declaring you are part of a motorcycle club ... not riding club. HUGE difference especially when you are riding through a MC's territory. As a SCRC member, we are sometimes asked not to wear our vests when riding if we are aware of fighting between rival motorcycle clubs.

| I once bought a very nice leather motorcycle jacket when touring in tax-free Andorramade by the French manufacturer Furygan. Back then no one was importing Furygan gear into the UK so I was pleased.
Like all their leather and textile bike gear it had the trademark Furygan logo of a large black panther logo stitched on the back. My logo was in red leather matching the red leather shoulder panels on the black jacket.
Back home I started to feel rather embarrassed wandering around with this large panther logo displayed on the back of my jacket like some Sixties greaser. While the logo looked cool on the back of some knee draggers racing leathers, I felt like a wannabe bad ass biker having a mid-life crisis. Being asked if the panther logo was a club patch made me cringe too.
So I took the offending jacket to a motorcycle clothing store that sold good quality used gear for small commision, and they sold it within a few weeks. |

https://www.patches4less.com/blog/custom-patches-for-jackets-know-what-not-to-wear Thanks Sonuvabug. Fairly easy to understand. I think I will use the Eagle without the rockers. It's a quality piece and I love the color. The top rocker doesn't look balanced without the bottom one IMHO. Apparently, the bottom rocker is what could be misconstrued and attract unwanted attention. Normally I would just do what I want as it's a free country, but it's really not that important to me to risk pissing off anybody. I have noticed Bandidos and other notorious club riders cruising through the area. |
