| Greetings Fellow Swing Riders. I wanted to discuss the safety advantages of wearing an Airbag Vest. My Vest of choice is made by Spidi. I found the design much nicer than the Vests by Helite. Replacement CO2 cartridges are also reasonably priced.
A website, www.chromeburner.com gave me an excellent price. Very simple to hookup, I attached the Tether to my right side passenger footpeg.
With 40+ years of riding experience, attended 4 Total Control Advanced Riding Clinics, spent hours practicing skills in parking lots, you might ask, "Why then wear the Airbag Vest?" It simply makes sense. Broken legs can mend, but Vital Organs, when damaged, can take your life quickly. Just another tool in my Safety Toolbox I use.
The Spidi Airbag Vest is very comfortable to wear over all of my Riding Jackets, does not impede airflow that much in the hotter summer months. It provides me a higher level of confidence (not to ride stupid), but focus on the ever changing road ahead.
It's not cheap, but neither are extended Hospital Stays...at my age (over 60), Healing takes a good bit longer, so I believe it's good preventative insurance. I highly recommend wearing an Airbag Vest, whether it's from Spidi, Helite or any other reputable company. |

| I have a Hit-Air but I agree more/ better protection is a cheap investment.
I just looked it up on the site you specified: $481 shipped isn’t bad at all. I think I paid $499 when I bought mine several years ago. |
