| Hey Everyone! I normally wait until Summer is over to plan a big ride on my Swing. September is usually pretty nice, so I am seeking where on Earth I'll be passing through.
Starting from Western Pennsylvania, I am considering a ride through the Tail of the Dragon (which I previously rode to on my Yamaha FJR1300) and it was a blast. I suspect even more fun on a much lighter Swing.
There is another area referred to as "The Snake", which is nearby, so ultimately, I get as many curves as I can handle. From there, I'll ride to Orlando, Florida, to see my 2 year old Granddaughter, who is the Apple of Granddaddy's eye! I just want her to know her Grandfather was just a bit on the crazy side to ride all that way, but she is so worth it!
On the return trip, I stop at Daytona Speedway, just to be in awe of its massive size. Working up I95, Ill eventually ride to Skyline Drive for some beautiful views. At that point, I'll be ready to head back home, for I need another 16 months before I retire.
Well, this ride should put my Swing through its paces, but I have no concern. Next trip will be an Iron Butt Ride ( I am a Member) to ride 1,000 miles or more in 24 hours or less. Wish me luck! |

| I’ve been on those roads- nor really a big fan of the Tail of the Dragon, but then again, never used a Silverwing for it, so not having to shift up and down may be a plus. The Cherohala is in the region and is a very nice road with some long sweeping turns as well. Don’t go to the Dragon on a weekend, as there’s too many racer wannabe’s and you don’t want to risk a collision with one of them. |

| Thanks Erdoc48. Yes, that is true, weekends could have you nailing some of your bike parts on the Tree of Shame. I can average 700-800 miles a day, so I can cover some ground. I just admire the beauty of that whole area. My only concern are the drivers in Florida...and why I wear a Spidi Airbag Vest! |

| Wow, 800 miles in a day is way too much for me- I can likely do ~ 1/2 that. I ride with an airbag vest all the time, so that’s an extra safety margin. Sounds like it’ll be a really nice ride. |

| At 63, I have to get as many miles a day as I can...my wife claims I have a Cast Iron Skillet for Brains...I take that as a loving compliment! |
