| Subject: Will my 2002 Silverwing 600 fit in the bed of my F150 Ford with Tailgat up or down? Mon Mar 18, 2024 12:04 pm | |
| Hello. I use to trailer my 1800 Goldwing to Smokey mountains and Florida from Indiana. Now I bought a Silverwing and would like to leave the trailer at home. I have a F 150 Crew cab Pickup. Will the Silver wing fit in the bed? Will the tailgate be up or down? Thanks. |

| The overall length of a Silverwing is 89.5" / 2273mm. I guess you'll have to measure the bed of your pickup yourself. |

| The F-150's crew cab std. bed sizes are 5.5 or 6.5 feet too short, whether it fits or not is not really the issue, getting it loaded is going to be real hard, at at approx. 550 lbs is no feather weight, not the best idea, IMO. I don't own a motorcycle trailer anymore, is more hassle to store, tag, maintain and insure. I just Rent a U-Haul motorcycle trailer with insurance for about $25-30 USD a day when I need one, easy load ramp and designed for motorcycles, is listed as the 5X9 trailer. They have U-Haul places virtually everywhere nowadays. BTW, I used the regular U-Haul 5x8 utility trailer to bring my SW600 home from dealer, only one available on short notice, a little harder to secure, but doable, had to use my own ramp.

| I bought a 2012 Silverwing several years ago. I have a Toyota Tundra crew cab with a 5.5' bed that I used to haul it 350 miles home. I had to leave the tailgate down with the rear tire sitting on it. I tied it down good and it was no problem. While I was test riding it I found a spot where the road was higher than the ground on the side of the road. I backed the truck up to the road and rode it into the back of the truck. When I got home I did the same thing to unload it. |
