| It appears to me that belt prices have dropped a bit. I usually use Partzilla for mine but the price for OEM is nearly 190 USD. The last one I bought was $96 in 2014. Ouch. My Forza belt was around $160 last year. I only use Honda OEM belts for my scooters.
I found this one on Amazon that claims to be a Honda belt for $137 USD.
https://www.amazon.com/Honda-23100-MCT-003-Belt-Drive/dp/B00I87HR80
Also there are several Honda OEM belts on eBay for about the same price.
Anyway this is just for information as I will be needing to replace mine on the SWing next year. If anyone finds a better source I am open.

| USA, $148.70 and free shipping at Ron Ayers https://www.ronayers.com/oemparts/p/honda/23100-mct-003/ belt-drive I would only buy OEM/Honda or Malossi (similar cost and quality), never a "Chinese Clone" on Amazon, etc., ditto for Ebay, they could be NOS , sitting on a shelf for a while/years |

| I use Gates timing belts on my Goldwing and am very happy with them. I would not at all hesitate to use their belts on my Swing. Might someone here have a part number?
TIA. Ron |

| Gates part number for Silver Wing (OEM # 23100 MCT 003), is Gates # 9802-41804 it's mostly available in the UK/Europe, not in the USA, they are good quality, but not really cheaper. Ditto for Bando belts. The OEM and Malossi belts are made by Mitsuboshi (which also sells a more $$$ version), well proven/reliable/readily available. Mitsuboshi is also OEM on my Burgman 400 and lot's of Vespa/Piaggio.
PSA,, when it comes to buying "Rubber" drive belts, consider the source/vendor, buying a cheaper oem and/or "off-brand", from eBay, Amazon etc., might not be wise. They could be "NOS", improperly stored, simply aged/dried out before you buy it !! |

I went with the Malossi Kevlar belt,$117,,I recall reading they are 20% stronger than stock…. https://www.tradeinn.com/motardinn/en/malossi-x-kevlar-honda-silverwing-600-transmission- belt/140825009/p?utm_source=google_products&utm_medium=merchant&id_producte=143125123&country=us&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiAouG5BhDBARIsAOc08RRFgMKDc9uvDkhEQ8kg7ZloKVEfwYdWCM9QP6OUa3jq_YCer5aLgWoaAt8nEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds |

Why would you buy it outside USA, if is available here, cheaper and faster Malossi belthttps://scooterpartsco.com/silverwing-600-c-100_3511/malossi-kevlar- belt-for-honda-silverwing-600-p-10258.html Mitsuboshi Honda OEM belt supplier https://scooterpartsco.com/silverwing-600-c-100_3511/drive- belt-for-honda-silverwing-600-oem-made-in-japan-p-38044.html |

Stock Honda SW600 Belt is made by Mitsuboshi one off the best brands, oem also on other top end scooters, some sources claim that Malossi is either made by mitsuboshi or Bando depending on model, to slightly different dimensions, they all have kevlar or similar fibers. |

| With about 400,000 miles of japanese rubber band drive scooter..and only one belt failure underway, Helix. Just go to your Honda dealer and buy OEM belt regardless of price, thinking what a breakdown on trip can cost you. Helix had easy replacement of belt, just pry rear pulley, block with piece of wood and belt could be put on....others not that simple! Safety factor, too---getting run down in traffic when belt fails is not fun.. As I was riding new scooters and riding a lot, 15,000 miles change intervals worked for me.
As I do not like walking, carrying spare belt a good idea...even if old one---gets yo home. Even in Silverwing heyday, Honda dealers did not have belt in stock.....or much knowledge of the bike! |
