- Hi,
Here is an on-line manual that I found on the net. Here are the Honda Owner's Manual links from the Honda website: 2005: http://www.ahm-ownerlink.com/assets/OWNERLINK/model/own_man/powersports/2005/2005_FSC600D_A.pdf 2006: http://www.ahm-ownerlink.com/assets/OWNERLINK/model/own_man/powersports/2006/2006_FSC600D_A.pdf 2007: http://www.ahm-ownerlink.com/assets/OWNERLINK/model/own_man/powersports/2007/2007_FSC600D_A.pdf 2009: http://www.ahm-ownerlink.com/assets/OWNERLINK/Model/own_man/powersports/scooter/2009/09_FSC600_A.PDF 2010: http://www.ahm-ownerlink.com/assets/OWNERLINK/Model/own_man/powersports/scooter/2010/10_FSC600_A.PDF

| Not that I'm getting all nit-picky, but those links are for the Owners Manual, not the Service Manual.
Just saying... |

Not going to mention what I want to do to the 'engineers' that came up with THAT nonsense ... What? They don't make screws & bolts in Japan???!! I suppose that helps them sell more plastic!! |

| I hope no-one minds me mentioning that in UK, what you call the owners manual, we call the owners handbook. The thing we call the manual is the full workshop book with all the details of the more involved work |

| Well bowl me over! Wow you Poms need to get with it. The Japanese have always refered to it as an Owners Manual, which was always written in Japlish. and the Workshop Manual, is usually refered to by the Japanese as a Service Manual, was also written in Japlish in the early days. The earlier reference to a servive manual link is some sort of typo/mental block thingy by the writer of the link. :lol!: BTW anyone have an old 2 banger Kwaka in the garage from the late 60's to mid 70's? |

The fact that Haynes and Clymer don't make a manual for the Silverwing greatly influenced my decision to buy one. If there is so little need to repair it that it doesn't make sense to print one, that's the best recommendation I can think of! |

| G'day mates I live in the Seychelles an island in the Indian nation I've just taken delivery of a silver wing, which my family paid for in London they sent it to me luckily it arrived with no damage. What totally amaze me was how big it was and heavy this thing is a real beast I did not expect it to be so heavy, this is one of the problems when buying something that you cannot see what tryout I live on the top of a mountain half a mile from the main road to get to the road I have to drive on a 2 foot wide concrete footpath through the bush if the back wheel goes off their path I find myself very quickly in the Bush little monster on top of me as I am 80 years of age I know before you say it was stupid to buy something so big that I just had no idea from looking at the Internet and the brochures that are being so much trouble it gives me a new challenge I will definitely conquer the the beast once I get it on the street it's fantastic to drive we don't have much traffic here except in the capital city the rest of the time there's hardly anyone on the road marvellous it's great to be able to to correspond with people of the same interest happy riding regards from the Seychelles Brownie |

| Hi Robert. Two feet is plenty. with the low centre (or center) of gravity the Silver Wing almost stands up in her own - you won't need too much wobble room once you've got the hang of it.
(ya better nip over to the introduction thread and let the others know you are here!) |

| Waspie,
Using www.storesonline.com I got to here
http://www.emanualonline.com/Motorbikes/Honda.htm
But I can't see a Silverwing (FJS600 , FSC600 etc) manual listed.
Perhaps Robert could narrow it down and post a link to the actual manual.
Cheers, |

| Here is a site that sells a Honda Service Manual
http://www.sell.com/23Z9CM
I bought one of these 2 years ago - paid $30US - included shipping. Price now seems to be $42 including shipping. You may want to email the owner to see if you can get the price I paid: manualwizard1970@yahoo.com
I sent him a check - he then sent me a manual - it all worked out.
In summary, if you do ANY work on your SWing then you need a manual - if you don't do any work - still a good idea to have a manual. I have a 2008ABS and it cover this model perfectly - as far as I can tell. |

| Did you get your $6 back ? The post office should reimburse the sender and they should in turn reimburse you. I wouldn't hold my breath though. |

| At $36.00 you still paid a lot less than I spent at the dealer, so you got a good deal. After you read through it you will see why everyone said to get one. |
