| Thanks very helpful! never give people a choice, my old slogan but now my appetite has been wet , so must at least look at Fournales. What makes the price worthwhile?

| Fournales are air shocks. Apparently you are able to 'adjust' the shock action by varying the air pressure.
IIRC They are in the $400-$500 range if you can find them here in the States.
Why are they so expensive?...Because they're French.
Made by the same fine folks who've managed to successfully market moldy cheese as gourmet fare to the rest of the world.

| I love French red wines but prefer for price reasons Chile reds, same quality same applies to shocks. Will buy them in England, a gt-rider.com friend will bring them over.
Thanks to all of you for your input |

| I've got Hagon shocks fitted on my 04 Swing and on my 1979 CX500 - They are fully recommended and as an added bonus they are fully rebuildable so in the event you ever need to replace them - just send them back to Hagon who will re-furbish them for a very moderate price.
The pair I have on the CX are about 5 years old now and show no signs of rust etc. |

| Wanted to tell you end of story, taking on the plane a problem, because of gas and oil in shocks. Mailing much too expensive. Conclusion= the original shocks will be rebuilt for a fraction of the cost. Happy end!! Pico |

Please post something after you have the OEM shocks rebuilt. I'd like to know what/how something was done to rebuild them.
I do know that the OEM shock springs can be removed from the shock assembly (though Honda won't admit it), but I didn't know that you were able to disassemble/service the shocks further.

| Chia,
prompted by your question I thought about it and decided against. Coming down from Chiang Mai there are too many long stretches of boring road. This is the main reason why I left Phuket and moved up North. But thanks for the initiative, Chia. I must admit to my shame that I never been riding South of Phuket. Pico |
