Yesterday i went to a fall Chili/ sit around the campfire, at a ridin buddies daughter's house. It was my buddies wife's 64 birthday.
Had a good time.
Well i am 59 yrs old myself.
As I rode up on the Swing in the back 40. The kids (7 of them) were doing flattrack laps. All of them do this as amatuers and one just turned professional. I was talking to the daughter and she said go out and take a lap with the kids, they will think it's cool.
DUH!!!!! I must have left my brain at home.
I waited until they all went by and jumped in at the back of the pack. I did three laps and was pasted by all the kids.
The Swing did not fall over, I did not crash and none of the kids ran into me,
The Swing did fine in the straights, but kept loosing traction in the corners. I did not want to put it into a full on power slide in tennis shoes on my bad knee.
Coming out of the corner the Swing would rooster tail until shut down at the next turn.
Considering I havent been off road in 30 yrs , And road semi hard, (for a crippled old guy) I was impressed.
Finally , common sense took hold and I quite after 3 laps.
today my Knee hurts ....
Sometimes the old dog just wants to run with the pack .
MaxB ( who took his meds today and promisses not to be STUPID anymore this weekend)
