| I dunno about you guys but the mirrors on 'Betty' are okay, but like the old school report says 'Could do better'. Most of the time I spend looking at my elbows/shoulder armour rather than whats actually behind me.
With this in mind, I've come up with some spacers that give the mirrors a 25mm lift and a 40mm side ways movement each. Visability is now improved a great deal.
Machining/finishing costs etc. dictate that these come in at about £7-50 a pair (coated in black). Postage will be whatever it costs on top i.e. £0.80p - £1.00 internal UK mail based on the weight of an A6 jiffy bag.
For what its worth, if there is enough intrest in the US/Canada then I'll ship a batch to one person for onward transmission, rather than mess with currency exchanges etc.
Its just an idea, but I would like some indication of intrest please. |

| Sorry Troops - mainly for the hold up, but now I've been dealt a bit of a blow......
Having sent off what I wanted, it now turns out that my 'supplier' miss understood my requirements and quoted me per individual unit and not 'per pair' - perhaps the fault was mine, I'm not quite sure.
All this means that the price has risen to what I judge to be unacceptable - even ridiculous levels, so for now I've put the project on hold.
I'll bang up another message as and when I can get this moving again.
Thanks & appologies to all those who expressed intrest in the project. |

| Skippy, If I can help you in any way to get this project off the ground, let me know. Some times it's tuff, at first, to get a new idea to the final product stage, you can do it. |

| Thanks Dennis,
To be honest I'm a bit taken aback. What I want made isn't exactly a part for the Space Shuttle so I don't understand why it has to be so complicated......
I'm researching firms in the far East & China, the quotes I've been getting from firms in Europe etc. have been a joke..... It's probable that I'll find something similar in the vast Bazar of the Asian power houses.
Saddly this is indicative of what was once a fantastic engineering and manufacturing base here in the UK. |

| Heh life is full of surprises Skippy, people not listening, taking the mickey or simply just not interested.
Over the last couple of years I have had various projects on the go, the main one was armoured jeans ie kevlar with CE knee, hip protection etc.
Buying for really good rates, then comes the bureaucracy, then people promising the world, nah not worth it sometimes.
Slightly different from China, just didn't have the wotsits to go through with it......
Thanks for trying anyway
