Hello All, I acquired my '06 SWing 600A a few weeks ago out of a barn. It had 108 kilometres on the clock, and was apparently stored properly, because I put tjhe battery in and it fired right up; I now have about 186 Km on it. I bought it for a decent price, and am looking forward to spending the rest of my riding days on it and my Valkyrie Tourer when I get bored. I added the Airflow 'shield, coveted switchable luggage light, and am adding farkles as they become available. I'm wondering if the Canadian version is different from the American, I am apparently a few lbs lighter, and my indicated speed at 5000rpm is 103 km, or 65 mph (roughly) I am quite happy with the performance of the bike, and see no need to try and out-think Honda's engineers. My kudos to Jeffr for his help in directing me to the A/flow shield, and to Big Bird (Winnipeg) for his selfless criticism of my efforts :-) may he never develop snowshoe elbow.

Oh Pendragon, I would never criticize your quest for the best.
May your switchable trunk light forever illuminate your passion for all Swing things farkleized.

Today I have snow shovel elbow. It's still winter here.

Thank you, one and all, special mention goes to Big Bird for his instant grasp of the splendour and magnificence of the farkletized, coveted, and longed for by many switchable luggage light. My utter commiseration upon reading of the common affliction to many Manitobanites known as "snow shovel elbow", hopefully it will have improved by August or so in time for "black fly bunionitus". Best wishes to all,

Pendragon, the frenzied farkleteer! :-)

Welcome and congrats on the new SWing ...I just started with a SWing myself and put on the AirFlow also...really makes a big difference over the stock windshield IMO.

Sounds like you're having as much fun with your as I am with mine....

I suspect that you will soon find yourself riding the SWing a bunch more than your Valk. I find I ride a lot more now than I did when I had my cruiser...not knocking the Valk...it's a great bike...but the SWing is so easy to just get on and go for whatever distance and road you choose...

Bob

Hi Bob, I think I may agree with you that the SWing will definitely be ridden more. As much as I hate to admit it, it is snowing now, and will be at least 10 days before it's gone; and yes, I'm having fun, not only applying newly-acquired knowledge of Scooterology 101, but trading niceties with folks all across the world; life is good, eh?

Welcome Pendragon. Great to have another Canuk on board. Sounds like you got a decent deal on your new S'wing ... nice find.

Hi Sonuvabug, sounds like you have it going for you too; looking forward to spring, just like Big Bird in Manitoba, ride safe.
