| I decided to take the advice of a fellow member here. I took a key, cut it short and left it in the gas cap. Therefore, I do not need to remove the key each time I need to refill. Yes, I am getting lazy. Anyway, here is my question. What is the correction position for the gas cap? There is an arror on the top edge. Not sure it it should point up or down. Any know this? In the picture, is the correct? Should the arrow be facing up or down? |

| According to my Silver Wing Owner's Manual, it's 'Make sure that the arrow marks on the fuel fill cap and the fuel tank are aligned'. So the arrow on the fill cap points upwards to aligned with the arrow pointing downwards that's below the fill cap. Arrow below gas cap. ∇ ∆ Fill or gas cap arrow

| Thanks.
Looks like the arrow on the gap cap can be facing up or down. The is a matching arrorw on the black plastic in either direction.

| Alternatively, you could just buy an Elite 250 gas cap that has no lock. They fit just fine. I use one that I got off ebay - works perfectly. |
