| The weather over here in the UK has been great the past week or so. Unfortunately I haven't been able to take real advantage of it as I have been working, (ahhhhhhhh ) However my daily commute is some 25 miles each way so I get a decent ride on some dry roads, a good mix of twisties and duel carriageway. A couple of days ago I was caught at a railway crossing when a big wheeler, (Suzuki something or other), pulled up alongside me. "What have you been feeding that moped" he shouts across at me!!! I couldn't catch you on the duel carriageway and was doing *** mph!!! "Adrenalin" I shouted back!! Then followed the usual pleasantries about engine size etc. When the crossing barriers rose I rode off with a mighty smirk across my face which took sometime to die away. Methinks one rider at least may have a new opinion of our smaller wheeled 'mopeds'. The 'mighty Wing' can certainly hold it's own thats for sure. |

| Recently stopped at a drive-in and parked our bikes next to one of the newer Jaguar 2-seaters. The driver was very curious about our bikes. He asked all of the usual questions then said he had been looking for one last year, but ended up purchasing a Suzuki C-50 (cruiser) and was tired of it already. He even said, "The need to shift all the time is taking the fun out of riding the blasted thing." His wife was very intrigued at the possibility of having her own bike. May have found a new riding couple... |

| Dale, here in the UK Jaguar owners frequently have the fun taken out of them for owning a Tata, (Indian owned motor company). Not held in very high esteem over here.
When Jaguar was a British company they were the prestigious cars folk really wanted to own, now - Mmmmmm, not any more. BMW, Lexus, Honda!! Now the cars of choice.
At petrol stations the cry of, "how's your Tata" to a 'Jag' owner is normally met by a serious amount of verbal abuse!!!!! It's all a game but Jag owners take it so seriously, which makes it so much more fun.
My boss owns one as does one of my co-workers, one gets quite irritated and the other simply says it's just a car. |
