| Hi Jon,
Have been perusing your avatar art and trying to figure out what it might be (in my own non-art mind). Here are my observations; let me know how far off I am, okay?
Looks like a southwest desert scene. The "orangee" face of a cowboy with dark eyes under a hat brim. Dark, wide mustache just below the nose (of course). Yellow, wide jaw and mouth. All of this superimposed over a high desert escarpment of some sort with blue sky behind. A desert floor with yucca and scrub brush in the foreground.
Well, I guess that's about it. I'd better sign off before wind up being embarrassingly wrong. But was just curious. |

| It's title is Goulding's Ghost. It is the title piece of my web site. It started life as a sunrise/sunset in the Monument Valley. I had painted the same scene at different times of day several times. This time the scene took on a life of it's own. I left it when it told me it was done. Thence, the title. You were very close to the actual thing.
Thank you for noticing it. Have a look at more of my stuff on
