Been watching this on TV during the past week when we get live coverage for the last 2hrs each day (10-Midnight here in the UK) and wow, there are some really nice looking roads out there.

SoCal looks stunning for a bike ride and the run to Mt Baldy (sp?) tonight looked very tempting indeed. Maybe not quite up to the Alps but worth a day of anyones time I would guess Smile

Some good cycle racing too....

Hi Steve,

If you get a chance, Google earth a place called Onion Valley, California. The road out of the town of Independance, California is breath taking. Onion valley is at 10,000 feet above sea level. Three waterfalls enter this small valley. We started alot of back packing trips into the high country out of the great place.

I have heard of the Onion Valley Dennis, but I am blowed if I can remember where, I have probably read something somewhere! Smile All sounds good, as long as I can use a dirt bike to carry ther camping gear...
