| Especially the Joplin folks. Let us know that you're okay, or if you need anything. I just recently switched over to the Weather Channel. Unbelievable.
Prayers for all... |

| Rich,
Thanks for making this post. I hope all in well out there. I lived in Illinois many years and went through some really bad weather too. I also took a trip down the Mississippi river and then to the Ozarks. That is some really beautiful country and the people were so friendly.
My prayers have been out to all in that large area. |

| My parents live up near Grove, OK, not too far from Joplin. They were without power for a while, and they still have no internet. Their provider has no timeline for getting it back up and running.
Hopefully everyone on the board from that area is okay. I'm sure even if they've got no damage, they may be without power or internet. And if they've got damage, surfing the 'net isn't at the top of your list of things to do.

| What a terrible catastrophe. And then today they get inundated with yet more severe weather. Our hearts and prayers go out to them. Not to be left out, we lost one of our own here in NE Kansas in a little town about 8 or 10 miles south of me by the name of Reading (pronounced "Redding"); a father of one of our Mission Valley Schools teacher. Looks like we're in for another round of storms here in Kansas again tomorrow. Sure has been a bad year all across the country. |

| A rescue worker, and a police officer were struck by lightning yesterday. In a single 5 minute period, over 4000 lightning strikes were recorded, and it stormed all day. the count is at 116 now. It is supposed to finally stop storming Thursday night. |

| If you are planning any rides please check the latest weather and warnings before heading out.
Since I travel in places that may have cellphone service, I have a Walkie-Talkie with the local National Weather Service stations that I can bring with me.
Please ride safe. |

| Yep, all is well here. They were monster storms out in the western part of the state, but had weakened somewhat by the time they got over to us. Still nerve wracking, still something to be respected, but not too bad overall. More like a "typical" event instead of "the big one". |

| Good morning, having my first cup of coffee. I haven’t taken a walk around the house as of yet, but the storm yesterday evening was a dozy. The tornado sirens started going off and I watched the weather report on the TV. I think a tornado passed just South of Glenpool and damaged a little town called Haskell. I just don’t know as of yet. I need to turn the TV on to get information. Yesterday, I was on the roof replacing 4 of those three tab composite shingles that torn off the night before. I will check the house out a little later this morning. |

| I watched some of the tragic scenes yesterday on the box and was if nothing else amazed by the resilience of the residents of the places worst effected.
Homes can be rebuilt but the tragic loss of life - nature is a cruel thing.
Stay safe and don't take chances. |

| My prayers and thoughts are on those who are suffering through, enduring and surviving this current round of storms and flooding.
We don't have as much control over life as we try to think we do. |

| Sad, very sad...They just found the 3 year old boy that was ripped from his mothers arms, in Piedmont OK, by the tornado. He was found in a pond, dead. Tears are streaming from my old eyes. Lord Please give this family you love, they sure need it.
At the same moment a 15 month boy was also taken from her. Her husband was out of town that day when the tornado hit and the Mom and the 2 boys got in the bath tub for safety. Both boys were torn from the tub at the same time, both died. |
