A trip to the local DIY retailer a few miles away was the only excuse I needed to get the 'Wing' out of the garage.

Made my purchases, several litres of paint, nails and a medium sized spirit level.

A young man and his girl friend, clutching a few litres of paint, were mounting his Suzuki motorcycle. He commented your going to have an interesting ride home mate, (sarcastically).

I placed ALL the bits and pieced in the trunk and commenced to put my helmet on.

Young man eyes gaping said, "well mopeds are good for that."

"Yup" I replied.

Young man; "when you have 400 cc you don't need storage".

"Suppose not, but my 600 cc moped should cope"!!!!!

Rode off, leaving both him and his girlfriend, (still clutching paint pot.)

I kept the smile all the way home.

It never ceases to amaze me how people don't use common sense. I once had to reason with a guy before the light bulb went off in his head. He seemed to think the Burgman 400 I then had was only 50 or 80cc motor driven. I reminded him how small & light most 50cc mopeds were and asked him who would ever want to ride a big hulking 400 lb bike with only 50cc's when there are small light weight ones like the 176 lb SYM DD50. That got him thinking.silent
You'd wonder if a 50cc motor could even get a heavy SWing even up to 20 mph! Kind of like a 6 foot man with an infant's heart transplanted into his chest. Like I said: common sense! Rolling Eyes
