| I've just ordered the DR Pulley V-4 Hit clutch from Mike at Buggy Parts along with a set of 26gram sliders. Thanks for the info here guys, it's a nightmare trying to find stuff for a Swing in UK. Which brings me to a question, where is the best place to get a new V belt? I'm sticking with OEM after reading all the stuff on here and I know I can just order 1 from a Honda dealer but I wondered if anyone had any advice? Ian |

| Please give a full report on the install (pictures would be great if you're so inclined), especially any "gotcha's" and your impressions of the results. |

Ian Ian Best wishes on your Dr Pulley V-4 Clutch. I've been using my V-4 Clutch for about 15000 miles with no problems. Sometimes it takes a bit of sorting out with the Clutch Springs and the Push Pin Springs, but after that it's all good. BTW Both sets of springs can be changed without having to remove the V-4 Clutch from Driven Pulley assembly. They can levered off using a small flat blade screwdriver but a spring hook tool (used for removing the springs on automobile headlamps) works somewhat easier. Tim |

| Doug: Thank mate, I've used DS in the past with good results. Just ordered a new belt and 4 brake resevoir screws (old ones are tired) Belt was £110 plus V.A.T (£5.85 delivery)
I just received a reply email from DS, quoting £95 + vat for the belt, so I called and found out that this is the price from stock but as they were out of stock, the guy special ordered it (without telling me!) I have been refunded the difference.
Tim: Which springs do you suggest I use for both clutch & push pins?

Oh jeez, I was afraid that you would ask that. I've had so many spring configurations with this V-4 Clutch as well as the earlier 3-shoe version that I've lost track of what springs are currently in-use. One of my more readily accessible notes indicates that BL 12.0kg Clutch and RD 12.2kg Pillow (Push Pin) Springs are in there. That said, I may very well be using 14.0kg Pillow Springs. Suffice it to say, the lighter the springs the sooner the clutch will engage (both initial engagement & Push Pin lock up). Not to confuse you, but I now hear that it is possible to alternately mix Push Pin spring ratings to further tweak clutch response. Much the same as is sometimes done with variator weights. I suppose that Buggy Parts will be able to answer more specific questions, but you can also contact Paul Wu at Union Material (Dr Pulley's parent company). He'll supply you with lots of information. I've dealt directly with him in purchasing my HiT Clutch(s). Tell him I referred you. Tim |

| OK Tim, thanks for the info, I'll try to pick Paul Wu's brain. |
