Hi, I just bought a 2003 FSC600D, an upgrade from my Reflex. I'm absolutely loving it! It's so powerful compared to the Reflex.

At 25, I'm pretty sure I'm the youngest Swing rider around here. What can I say? If I got a motorcycle, I wouldn't get to ride with my local scooter club anymore!

Only problem I have with it is a creaking (maybe plastic?) sound when I engage my front break at slow speed. I don't get the sound if I'm stopped or stopping from higher speeds. I wonder what it could be? I should get a copy of the shop manual.

Welcome aboard and congratulations on moving up in the world! Wink

As for the creaking, have you had your brake pads checked?

Welcome youngster. Reckon you wont be looking for the Zimmer Frame modification for a few years yet then.

Enjoy the forum and please use the search function for any questions you may have, or, simply ask, someone will point you in the correct direction.

Greetings from Las Vegas. I hear Wichita is a nice city with a lot going for it. Aerospace industry and airplane manufacturers headquartered there and a college town feel. It must be nice to ride there--when it's not too cold. I've only been to KC and Topeka, but I liked what I saw of Kansas. Cool
While I've got a few months to go till the big 4-0, I still feel young given the average age of Maxi- riders. Still, I don't care. I wish I discovered them at 18! Razz
As for the creaking, you should check the condition of the pads. Mine are quite new but they make a sliding sound when engaged, and the mechanics said it was okay.

I took a look today - the pads look fine, the sound actually seems like it's coming from the fork. I had the seals and springs replaced (OEM) when I bought it. It wasn't making the sound for the first 1000 miles I had it or so, just started after I put on a DS tire on the rear. Hmmmm. Wasn't sure I wanted a DS tire, but it came with the scooter, and the rear Hoop was pretty bald.

I hadn't checked after taking it home from the shop yesterday, looks like it's sitting at 34PSI.
