ELS: belated reply to your question, but the rpm's will increase just a little because the variator face plates wear where the belt runs the most, and also as the belt wears a bit.
What you asked and never got a reply to was what are the specs of a belt: that would be the nominal width.
I don't know but would also like to. If the specs are still good, and a visual inspection of the the belt doesn't show any aging, or minute cracking, then I'd continue to run the belt, unless the scoot is your primary transportation, then I think I'd go ahead and replace the belt while you have the CVT covers off and not have to go thru that again.
