| Seems that many scooter sites are talking about the possibility of a 2010 Yamaha 750 T-Max triple. That would be interesting! Would be pretty expensive though. See http://www.visordown.com/motorcyclenews/view/yamaha_tmax_750_superscoot_on_the_way/6763.html Captain |

| Very nice, but still with the CVT transmission.
Hey Honda - c'mon the market will most likely support a scooter with real tires and an HFT transmission. Let's see the E4-01. My wife and I do not understand the DN-01, but will buy a pair of E4-01's as soon as they are available. |

| I'm kind of waiting on newer scooters too. Not that I'm looking to buy but to see what the companies will be coming out with. The E4-01 would be nice as would the alleged Silver Wing 750. I have heard rumors that the Burgman may come out with a 900cc, but that is just rumor though. We just have to wait and see. |

I would have thought that the HFT would be more efficient like the torque converter locking to avoid slipping. I am hoping they they will make the HFT more fuel efficient with less loss of horsepower ... in which case you may not necessarily need a bigger engine. Otherwise I would expect more "automatic" paddle shifting options on more motorcycles for example 2006 YAMAHA FJR 1300 ( http://www.motosavvy.com/fusebox/dsp_1col.cfm?page_id=278 ) which will blur the line with even more options |

| I just saw the ad myself, I don't see why the SWing couldn't get a 750 with the new make over there doing. I would seriously cosider a 750 TMax. I likie the current 500cc model they have. |

| I know I am new but if they bring the gp800 here I'm in. I just got a silverwing, it's ok, power is decent but I just let go of my Aprilia Atlantic 500. To be honest it was slower off the line but that is the only place I can say the sw really trumps it. The gp800 is actually riding the same engine as in the aprilia mana850, it also handles like crazy. But the t-max is no slouch and is by far a sport bike when comparing. |

| Atlanticfun,
Welcome to the forum. The GP800 is nice, I think Bernardo did a pretty good review of it somewhere on this forum or I may have it confused with some other site. I like the Mana 850, but do not like the chain drives of it and the GP800. Truly exciting bikes.
The T-Max is a nice bike, very sporty looking although it does give up a bit of luggage capacity.
So much to choose from. |

| Agreed, If you are looking for a sport/ scooter those are the choice. I personally like the handling aspects of my Atlantic better than the sw. I know it was slower off the line but imagine more of a burgman with the handling of a t-max. I was happy. I took that bike on several road trips, including the Great river road, 1500 miles, plus from chi-town to Vermont, 2100 miles, I also did well on the tail of the dragon with it, total trip 2400 miles. I was not saying that he was wrong, but I have ridden the bikes he has, plus things like turbo version of a t-max and gp 800. I would like to love the sw, however it was a piece of mercy that I own it. I have started reading your mod threads and am trying to see what I can do to make it a more enjoyable riding bike in the back roads. Not just around town. This is just a different feeling bike. Smaller tires, and a little bit squishy, ok pretty squishy. |

| Hey Atlantic: Welcome to this forum. Have you considered modifying your Swing? Jeff and Bernardo have provided a lot of information on aftermarket mods that will significantly boost the performance and handling of a stock Swing. (K&N air filter, Leo Vince free flow exhaust, J Costa variator, HyperPro front springs). With a little $$ you can really make your Swing fun. |

| I had many of the mods that were mentioned on my atlantic, with the exception of the option to have my ohlins suspension it all seems about the same. I am looking forward to seeing how this bike plays out. I will probably look at increasing tire size and suspension to help with twisties. I was thinking about a 14 rear tire mod and the possible conversion to the 14/15 set up. I just don't know about the clearance issues. This will help for the highway as well. |
