| Hello, all! I wanted to start off by saying thanks to everyone here and for all of the valuable information that you've shared. I started lurking around this forum about six months ago, when I bought my new-to-me 2004 Silverwing FCS600D. I picked it up with about 5K miles, and I've run it up to about 10K miles now.
So far, I have done some routine maintenance, upgraded a few bits, and started down the troubleshooting path for a few issues on my scoot... all thanks to the folks here on this board.
I've owned a number of street bikes and scooters over the years, starting when I was 14 (Oklahoma had motorcycle permits for kids back then, not sure about now). After all of the crotch rockets and muscle bikes, I now have this maxi-scoot that I really enjoy. I commute at least 55-60 miles/day, so there are real advantages to using the HOV lanes and not having to incessantly row the gears in Houston traffic. The twist-and-go style of this scoot really works for me. I haven't had the opportunity to do any long distance trips or tours yet, but I'm always on the lookout.
I grew up racing carts and motocross bikes, so turning a wrench is no stranger to me. If there are any fellow board members in the area that need help with a project or upgrade, don't hesitate to ask... I'll be glad to help.
Thanks again,
Aaron Bartlett Houston, TX

| Welcome Aaron, it's nice to have another rider in Texas. 55 to 60 miles a day in Houston traffic is not my idea of fun, but getting out of town on a bike is that much better. Enjoy the ride. |
