| Thanks for all the great wishes guys.
I've been on a cruise this week out of Ft. Lauderdale, stopping in Jamaica where at Dolphin Cove I got in the water and played with an 8 foot female nurse shark named Diablo. She sat on my lap and let me pet her and tickle her tummy and then I fed her. Then me and my group went snorkeling with her and her friends.
Then in Labadee (a private island off of Haiti) I went 500 feet up a mountain to a 2600 foot zip line that ran over the reefs of a lagoon. Beautiful.
All in all a 5 day cruise full of endless gourmet food, vegas quality shows and a private balcony where I could listen to nothing but the waves. At night I would turn off the A/C and open the balcony door so I could be rocked to sleep gently while listening to the ocean.
By the way, if any of you have relatives that are in an assisted living facility, keep in mind, that often costs several hundred dollars a day, while a cruise including tips can cost less than $100/day.
Dan

| Dan,
Happy belated birthday. It's sounds like you had a great time there. When I was in the Marines we would jump in the water with Great Whites and rub their belly's, just for fun.
Happy Birthday !!! |

| I thought that in the Marines, "Jumping in the water" was also a euphemism for "Going to the whore house."

Years ago when I was traveling in Asia ( I believe Thailand ) wearing my black cowboy hat, everyone would ask where I was from I would say "I am from Texas". I learned later that Texas was a euphemism for whorehouse. |

| Dan,
I never heard that phrase before, but then again, I wasn't the type to do some of the things other Marines would do. I generally hung out with others like me. But some were really something, i went into a 'culture shock' by what some would do. |
