Spilling The Beans

Well, some of you members that have been on this forum for over a year might remember that I gave up my '08 because I just could not make the last 7 payments and pay for the insurance, I had Honda take it back and sell it.

I have felt very out of place on this forum ever since that happed...just on the outer edge most of the time.

Well things have changed and I just purchased a used 2006, FSC600D off ebay and it's being picked-up and shipped to my home on Friday the 17th. It has 13.5K on it so it's just broke in.

Being blue I named it "JAY" short for "Blue Jay".

Man...I'm really thrilled over getting this scooter.

And yes, I have a switched trunk light ordered for it and a bunch of other stuff.

Happy Days are here again.

That is great news. If anyone deserves a SWing it is you. Congrats. And I know someone who knows how to make things for the SWing, so if you need anything I can tell you who he is for a $200 finders fee. Can't wait to see some pics and I bet you are excited.

Ya Know, I was thinking of having a weekend camp over in my backyard. Everyone and pitch a tent, we can have a campfire, BBQ steaks and chicken, and during the 2 days ride and see some of the sights here in North East Oklahoma. Lot's of good roads, Food, and Fun.

Just a thought...sounds like fun to me.

I just recieved some good news...the shipping comany is goin to pick my scooter up on Thursday morning, the 16th.

Just went to Wally World and picked up a set of Optronics chrome plated burners and orded some 10 degree very bright bulbs at a decent price. They normaly sell for about $10.00 apiece. Here's the thread if you interested.

One of the cool things about a Second scooter is you've made all of your mistakes and experiments on the first one.
So you can do the second scooter right the first time.

So......................since the color IS blue after all, I guess you'll be able to take advantage of the Honda design team's limited special speed feature which they reserved for only a couple of color options. Lucky for you that you found a blue one. And ride safe young fella.

Have you had a chance to put many miles on it? Or are you still mod'ing it out? I bet it will feel good getting back on it. Have fun.

Hi Jeff,

Still have it all dis-assembled and waiting on parts. It had a small coolent leak and needed to address that. Turned out to be loose hose clamps. Got them all up to snuff.

The scooter had some tupperware broken. Both skirts and the luvered radiator cover was also busted at the bottom right corner. All this is easy to fix but the only thing that drives me crazzy is waiting for the parts to come in.

Installed a power outlet in the trunk and changed out the trunk light to a switchable type. I'll take some pictures if you want to see where I installed the power outlet. It's in a good place, high on the left side just above the battery. Works well in this location. Of corse a power outlet is also going into the left glove box...no bigee.

Installed the relay for the driving lights today. I still need to manufacture my own lightbar. Hoping to get a chance this coming weekend. I'll be installing a set of flashing lights on the light bar as well, like I had it before on my other bike.

New air filter should be here in a couple of days. The one that came with the scooter is very dirty and needs a change.

Getting the scooter back together slowly...not in any big hurry...taking my time.

Many other things need to be done as well.
