Be Careful Out There

A motorcyclist died in Russellville, Arkansas today because a lady made an illegal left turn into him. ALWAYS assume they can't see you because half the time they don't!

We've had two motorcyclists die in my county within the last two months
is separate accidents. One of them less than two miles from my home on
a road I travel everyday .

I would add that some of the lunatics do see you and don't care since
they think they own the road , thinking they're perfectly entitled to turn out in front of you or come over into your lane.

It does not surprise me about 3years ago a young new driver made a left turn in front of me somehow I avoided a collision when I asked them why I was informed motorcycles have to yield to cars. Sometimes we are not safe even when they see us. My sympathies to the family and friends

Eldon, It scares me that someone would think that way and be licensed.

This is a good time to put a 'plug' in for the driving lights. They are a good safety investment. I believe in lights and more lights. Even then you are not safe with people that aren't looking.
My Condolences to the families of the lost. It was 10 years ago on Mothers day I lost my son. And it hurts my heart even yet. . .

Even with all the lights and warning toys on our two wheeled fun machines. We are very vulnerable.

The best protection, is our own wits and riding skills.

Nothing will stop the accidents but if we ride like the world is trying to kill us we may just stay upright and NOT end up a statistic on a report somewhere!!!!

I always expect the drivers around me to do stupid things and they seldom fail to disappoint me

I'm not sure if I have any friends on this site. I never could figure out the friends thing though.

For what it is worth if I knew how I would be your friend hear, in fact I feel most everyone hear is a friend. I know Terry is a friend because I've seen him eye to eye and he helped me out a lot, and I think he's willing to help most anyone he can.
